MS Boys Basketball Takes 3rd
The boys basketball team had an amazing season this year. Led by Coach Stephen Carter and 8th graders Joey Bursey, Ryan Frances, Trae Gould, Marqel McCoy and Keaton Van Soelen. The boys had a sucessful season with a 11and 2 record overall before playoffs. They cruised through playoffs and made it to the final four for the Bay Area Christian School Athletic League (BACSAL) out of 22 schools. The Cougars fought a hard fight against the Warriors of Fremont Christian. It was a nail-biter to the end, but the Cougars short fell short 41-42. The boys came out with a fierce fire ready to give everything they had against a much larger Redwood Christian for the third place title. The Cougars handled Redwood with ease.
We are very proud of you, boys. You were great examples of what it means to show sportsmanship and a reflection of Christ on the court. You are examples of what Cougar Pride is all about.

MS Spirit Week
Congratulations to the 8th grade class on winning spirit week in the Middle School last week. They were great examples of leadership, character, and school spirit throughout the week. Their costumes rocked, their performance of Thriller was "wowing" and their cheer was second to none! The 7th graders took 2nd place and won many competitions and came up with great costumes and ideas. The 3rd place 6th graders excelled at class participation in dressing up (100% everyday) and the elementary students voted their Lego float as #1. It was complete with a 7th and 8th grade jail! It was a fantastic week filled with fun and unique opportunities. Thanks to parents for all their support and to middle school teachers for the extra effort.

Middle School Cheer
Contra Costa Christian is one of the few middle schools in the area to have a cheer team and the team has been busy this year. Over the summer the cheer team attended camp and learned choreography, stunts and jumps. In addition to cheering at middle school flag football and basketball games, the team competed in their first ever competition this September!
